Methodology
How we score
Every product on VacuumIQ starts as raw data pulled from its Amazon listing — title, price, rating, review count and whatever spec bullets the manufacturer published. We normalize that into typed fields (suction in Pascals, runtime in minutes, and so on) so products can actually be compared instead of just read one at a time.
From those specs we derive six 0–10 editorial scores — Suction Power, Navigation, Mopping, Convenience, Pet-Hair Performance and Value — shown as a radar chart on every product page. These scores are our editorial judgment, normalized against the range of products in our own catalog; they are clearly labelled as an editorial rating, not a manufacturer spec. When a product's catalog grows, we recompute all scores so comparisons stay fair.
Any spec we couldn't find is shown as “—”, never guessed. Prices carry a capture date because Amazon prices change constantly — always confirm the live price on Amazon before buying.
