The dock is the real story. It empties into a sealed 2.7L bag and uses a high-temperature system to wash the dual spinning mop pads before warm-air drying them. Roborock specifies 167°F at the internal heater output — not at the mop itself — and up to 113°F air around the mop during drying; actual temperatures vary. Carpet-aware mop lifting helps avoid wet streaks when it crosses from hard floor to rug, and multi-floor mapping stores more than one layout.
Most of the system's value is in the dock rather than the robot alone — worth it if you want to minimize mop handling, less compelling if you only clean a small area.
